On arrival, you will be welcomed with a short introduction to the wood and then we will begin a gentle, mindful walk along the main track tuning into our senses, connect with nature
Once we reach the beautiful shelter amongst the trees, all set up ready for you to just lay down and settle. You will be safely held by the Earth, ready to be immersed in the healing sounds of Gong, Hang Drum, Crystal & Tibetan Singing Bowls and Native Flute, ending with silence as we lay to absorb the nurturing energy and witness the beauty of nature in these serene surroundings.

Sounds in the Woods – not just a summer venue! 2024
Coming Home
I have been reflecting on my experience of taking Sound Meditation Journeys into the Woods and the feedback I have had from participants. Originally I thought I’d use the space a few times in the summer, but after Sunday evenings cosy session with the fire and Deer Wood ordering sides for their beautiful shelter, I am aiming for throughout the year. Witnessing the changing of the seasons in woodland, in ourselves.
It is well researched why nature is healing, so relaxing, how it can can lower stress and reduce feelings of depression or anxiety.
Being in nature can help clear your head and bring you into the present moment, and is a great way to de-stress and relax, with the added Sound Meditation blissful states are achieved by many who have attended.
For me personally I have found it deeply healing, the lyrics of Ayala Schafer Come Closer really resonate
“The forest calls,
My grandmothers once walked this ancient way
And I know in my bones I know this from before
I’m coming home”
